Another update before I forget


Another week, another minor update post.

Options Upgrades

This one has been a pretty big task. First up the options screen has been totally redone into 4 tabs: Graphics, Audio, Controls and Content.

The main new one there is Content. It now has options for Straight, gay, lesbian, content as well as blood, vore, feral and anthro genitals. Most of these are currently unavailable until they have something to switch in the game itself. The two I did do are Blood and Vore.

Now, if you have blood turned off, anything that would have spawned blood such as attacking someone or hitting them with a rock now results in a spontaneous orgasm instead. The vore option now means if someone runs out of HP or Stamina while captured by a plant, it will still drag them inside the plant, but if you have vore off, they will be spat back out into the air as a ragdoll. I like that one.

Orgasm Meter

This is another thing thats mostly for testing purposes right now but should plug in elsewhere later. When an enemy starts masturbating, it starts up an orgasm meter over their head. Each loop of the animation increases the meter proportional to their endurance stat, so higher endurance lasts longer. All the while, the meter is slowly draining. In gameplay terms, it's basically what was happening before with a randomised number of loops before orgasm, but when controlled sex is implemented it should work with that so you're controlling how fast it fills. The meter also flashes orange when getting close to done and red on the brink.

PCG Foliage

Added a new spline based system for forests. Dropping a spline and drawing the outline of a forest with it adds trees inside, and avoids planting them on paths, steep slopes or water. Eventually this will be used to generate forests randomly on level generation, but I can't figure out the mathematics behind spline generation yet. It's a work in progress but currently functional enough and has been implemented through all levels.

Pineridge

Despite literally nobody pointing out that a town called Pineridge has zero trees, I added trees. The ramp to the upper town has had another switchback updated,  some caves and one of the buildings in the commercial district has been detailed and a shop area for a coffeeshop is now implemented.
