Version 5.0.0 Released! Finally! (free version on 22nd aug)

Here we go finally, the release of Version 5.0.0. This should be available shortly after this post goes live. It should be available to download for previous purchasers or anyone with a game key. If you do not have either of those, you can no longer buy it on here thanks to Australian  nutjobs. It can be purchased HERE which will give you an immediate download if you want to play straight away, but there's also an email address and I can manually assign you an Itch key. its not a great solution, but its the only one I've got working so far.

The demo version will be updating in a weeks time on the 22nd August.

Changes

First up, enemies now use the new models and all have access to at least a set of animations. These ones took way longer than the old models, so I haven't had a chance to do the three sets we used to have. The old models had different capture, seduce and dominate animations, but for now we just have a single set to be expanded in the future. This segues neatly into the new animation system. It's been rebuilt from the ground up to allow us to easily slot in new animations without reprogramming stuff.

Next, Takedowns and captures always had issues aligning to the landscape, resulting in floating animations. We're going to do a proper fix and improve things, but as a stopgap we now have Sex Arenas. Think of them like battles in old RPGs where you teleport into an extra-planar battle area, but with more bodily fluids. These may stay and get tweaked to work nicer or they might get binned for a new system. For now, this just keeps things level.

Player Characters have more customisation in the Character creator, dodging is now a thing, you can purchase from shops in Pineridge and Pjneridge itself has had a lot of work done on it.

Unchanges

Unfortunately, some content has been removed. None of it is permanent, I just didn't have time to finish them in some cases, or to do them in the other.

First, no more Squirrel. Now everyone else is the new model style, the squirrel didn't fit. I was hoping to get time to update one of the new models to be more squirrely, but I didn't have the time.

Second, Plant Traps have new models and new animations but needed an overhaul to get working. The animations weren't lining up or importing right so I called time on them for this release. They will be back.

Third, Wolves. There aren't any wolves in The Running of the Wolves. In previous versions, they've been there, but identical to other canids just a bit tougher to fight. That was the main problem, they weren't distinct from regular enemies and they need to be. I've got models for the Wolves, just no animations and no integration into the game. Functionally, you'll not notice any difference simply because they did blend in. You'll certainly see them when they get added back in...

Finally, we no longer have a camera mode. This is a last-minute change, literally. While trying to get screenshots for the Itch page and posts, I found screenshots weren't saving. I've spent over a day trying to get them to work and still stumped. It's an external plugin though, so I'll need to talk to the people who made it. I'm still going to work away at it and hopefully hotfix it at the same time as any bugfixing I need to do. The game still has a pretty hefty buglist right now, but they are annoyances rather than gamekillers, and after so long I just want to release this thing.
