New Release Incoming (also news and changes)

Today sees the release of Version 2.2.0 on Patreon. But not the same Patreon, because we're making some changes.

First up, we've got a new Patreon. This either gives early access to game builds, or on the upper tiers it gives you a Key to the full game. If Patreon is not your thing, then there's also a SubscribeStar that does exactly the same thing. What's the difference? Well, Patreon does not allow some content, while SubscribeStar does. So the Patreon builds will have a hard filter on certain types of game content. If you want to see it then you'll need to go through SubscribeStar.

If you're already a member of my Patreon, I'll set it up so you have continued early access to builds for a couple of months and try to make everyone aware that game stuff is coming off of my personal Patreon. Hopefully so people can transition across to the new one, or so they are aware that game access is ceasing and they can decide if they wish to continue or not.

Or, the third option: We now have a new Itch.io page for the Full Game. Currently the Full Game is sat at the same completion level as the Demo, but next months plan is to start building out the second World, which will not be in the demo. Buying the full game gives you access to all future builds and content, and will be getting releases the same day as Patreon and SS.

Why have we done this?

Simply, the game is getting fuller and we're almost ready to move into the second world. But also because currently the Patreon is my personal one that combines this and other projects. From now on, there's 3 people on the team, and this allows us to pay people fairly. This means unique accounts, Studio names and logos and all the boring shit. As shitty as it sounds, a fuckload of work goes into this game, and everyone is working on it in their spare time.  I'd love to get us to a point where this becomes a job for people with a wage, and this is the first major step to making that a possibility.

So, how are we going to justify this?

More frequent updates. We're budgeting for monthly updates to both Full and Demo games. With planned releases as follows:

  • 1st of the month - Patreon / SubscribeStar & Full Game (itch)
  • 8th of the month - Itch Demo

Now, even though this is now the demo version, and it's not getting further worlds added, it will still receive feature updates. This means that if we update the struggle system, that goes into the next demo version too. When we add the Forest Boss, it'll get added to the demo. When we add a World Specific enemy, that will stay on the Full and Subscribed versions.

So, the latest version is now released in the following places:

FeaturesBugfixes

So, what's planned for next month?

Hopefully 4 major updates:

  • Male Player Characters
  • Second World
  • Procedural sex
  • New Dungeon enemy

To be honest, the Male PCs very nearly made it into this months release. They failed because of the number of animation required. Most of them are already working and acceptable, but they need takedowns for Males and Females, Hornlizard stuff, Swimming, Struggle. There's also the point that if you've got M/F, F/M and M/M takedown options, you'd probably better add the F/F ones and complete the set all at once.

The Second World is probably going to be the Plains, which will be available for Subscribers and Purchasers. That's a decent amount of work, setting up the entrance to it from Pineridge, worldmap, tilesets, terrain and so on.

We're investigating procedural sex. We want the sex animations to be minigames, not something to watch and try to skip over.

New Dungeon Enemy - Something to add a bit more hazard to the dungeons...

Other than that, we've got a load of smaller tasks to do as well.

And Finally

Another call to action! The simple fact is that the people working on this are doing it in their spare time. Supporting the development either through Patreon or SubscribeStar, or by purchasing the game helps us to spend less time trying to live and more time doing the game.

If you've already purchased the game through this page, send me a message or drop in on Discord and I'll get you set up with a key for the full release if you can prove the email you purchased with.
